Dan Medina
Dan oversees the day-to-day operations at Signal House Builders in Naples, FL (Lee and Collier County). This includes managing projects, subcontractors, and employees. His enthusiasm, dedication, and ability to deliver jobs on time and on budget make him an integral part of our company.
Dan started in the construction industry in the late 80’s in the Miami area. He then moved to New York City in the early 90’s, where he and Paul first started working together. He continued to work in residential construction, expanding into commercial projects. While doing so, he volunteered a large portion of his time to serving the community.
In 2001, Dan had enough of the cold weather and moved back to Florida, setting his sights on Naples, FL in Lee and Collier County. He started a small remodel company and custom cabinet shop. As the company grew, it merged with other key players in the Southwest Florida construction industry. He gained valuable experience in all aspects of the company. He now uses his expertise to make Signal House customer’s visions a reality.
When he’s not busy at work, Dan spends most of his free time with his wife Carrie. They both enjoy giving their time to the community, rescuing dogs, boating, and taking in all that the outdoors has to offer. They frequently go SCUBA diving in the beautiful waters off our east coast, The Keys, and abroad.
Paul Widhalm
As an owner of Signal House, Paul enjoys forging strong relationships with clients, keenly listening to their wants and needs. He then works with our design team to make these ideas work seamlessly with one another, creating custom living spaces that can be enjoyed for generations.
Paul has been involved in the construction industry since the 80’s. He began working on his craft in his home state of Nebraska, later taking his skills to New York City. He was able to leave his mark there, completing many residential and commercial projects for well over a decade.
Eventually, he made Florida his home, where he has been able to use his communication skills, attention to detail, and creativity to make a name for himself. He acquired the State General Contractor license in 2003. Clients of Signal House attest to this fact, recommending his work to friends and family.
Paul enjoys working out and playing sports. Occasionally, you might find him on a boat with Dan, trying to catch the one that got away.
